It's a beautiful Spring day on our island today, as the view from my office will testify. However, as the rest of my family goes out for a walk I'm stuck inside working towards another deadline.
It's a reminder that although a visit to a Greek island for a holiday summons up images of lazy retsina filled lunches, happy sun-filled wanders in beautiful unfamiliar territory or just lying on the beach doing nothing all day. Living here is very different. Life must go on. Bills must be paid. Work must be done and the same problems that we face back home, whether that's Ireland, the UK or Ubekistan. remain to be tackled.
Still at least the view's nice!
