I have to disagree with broad brush approach in that report! I worked from the age of 16, bought my own house, never had an HP agreement, bought (and paid for)the first brand new car only 3 years ago and always paid off the rare use of my credit card. I don't owe money to anyone and I pay cash for most things. I've saved for my retirement and now find that my savings have gone down in value by almost 50% in some cases. So don't blame me for the economic mess!
